Zhang Yi, a professor with the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University, and two alumni of the prestigious university were recently elected as fellows by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI).
The two awarded alumni of Tsinghua University were Tian Qi, chief scientist in artificial intelligence at Huawei Cloud, and Zhang Lihua, a specially invited professor from the Intelligent Robot Research Institute of Fudan University.
The CAAI set up a fellowship system in 2017 to honor the outstanding achievements made by its members in the field of artificial intelligence, and to reward those who care about and make contributions to the institute.
As the highest honor of the CAAI, the fellowship system is also designed to encourage its members to continuously climb the peak of science and technology.
This year, a total of 13 leading experts in the sector of artificial intelligence were granted CAAI fellows. So far, the professional organization has 111 members.
