Tsinghua University's Department of Mechanical Engineering recently won several important awards in the finals of the 2023 Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition - "Bright Stone Cup" Micro-nano Sensing Technology and Intelligent Application Competition. Three individual teams from the department secured first place honors and another came in third place in the graduate student category, with an additional team claiming third in the undergraduate student category. The competition was initiated by Academician Jiang Zhuangde of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and was hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.
The competition garnered participation from 373 teams across 98 universities in 24 provinces nationwide. After intense competition, a total of 181 projects advanced to the final round. The event concluded with the awarding of ten first prizes, 20 second prizes, and 59 third prizes.
