Professor Bernard L. Weiss, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Surrey, visited Tsinghua on March 28. Tsinghua Vice President Gong Ke met and had a talk with Professor Weiss.
During the talk, Vice President Gong gave an outline of the research activities of the University, and stressed the importance of international exchange and cooperation. The two also discussed ideas for cooperation between the two universities, and both hoped that such collaboration could be strengthened in the future.
Professor Weiss paid visits to the School of Aerospace, the Institute of Microelectronics, and the Department of Biological Science and Technology. He also had a discussion with leaders of the Shenzhen Research Institute on potential collaboration.
