Tsinghua University and the University of California Berkeley admitted their first batch of dual degree program students at the jointly-established Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute in the fall of 2016. Fast forward to the present, applications are now open for 2020 admissions!
Provided with a dynamic research environment designed to spark their innovative thinking and creativity in trans-disciplinary research, applicants can choose from three disciplines to specialize in: Environmental Science and New Energy Technology, Data Science and Information Technology, Precision Medicine and Healthcare.
Students who meet the admissions requirements of Tsinghua and UC Berkeley have a chance to receive dual master's degrees from both Tsinghua and UC Berkeley within two and a half to three years. Students from all kinds of academic background are welcome to join this program!
