課程簡介:氣候變化是當今世界最為熱點的全球性議題之一,從聯(lián)合國氣候變化公約到京都議定書,,從哥本哈根到巴黎協(xié)定,,世界絕大數(shù)的國家已經(jīng)達成共識,,溫室氣體減排是應對氣候變化的主要途徑;而且,,世界上包括中國在內的多個國家已經(jīng)提出了實現(xiàn)溫室氣體凈零排放(碳中和)的目標,。有關溫室氣體減排,從國內到國際事務,,從技術到管理,,均需要專業(yè)人才,因此也是中法高級環(huán)境雙碩士項目的重要目標方向,。碳捕集,、利用與封存(CCUS)是最直接的減排方式,與傳統(tǒng)能源結合可提供碳中和愿景下繼續(xù)使用化石能源的途徑,;與可再生能源結合也可以提供負碳排放的途徑,。因此,CCUS是實現(xiàn)凈零碳排放的重要手段,。本課程以CCUS為核心重點講授低碳技術和低碳管理兩方面的內容,。低碳技術方面主要包括:CCUS的基本原理,、技術評價,、工程應用等;低碳管理方面主要包括:CCUS相關的碳核算,、碳交易,、自愿減排、管理政策和國際合作等,。通過本課程的學習,,學生可以對溫室氣體減排的技術和管理手段建立宏觀和整體的認識,對于CCUS這一重要減排途徑的技術原理和前沿動向有深入的了解,,同時通過分組討論,、調查研究和口頭匯報等形式,提升學生的自主學習,、團隊合作,、獨立發(fā)現(xiàn)問題和分析問題以及公共演講等方面的能力。


The major contents of this course include: Climate Change Science, Global Climate Negotiations and Actions, Carbon Accounting, Carbon Trading, Carbon Tax, Carbon Capture, Carbon Sequestration, CO2 Conversion and Utilization, CCUS Deployment and Economics, etc.

By combing the scientific principles and the international climate events, students can deeply understand the necessity of greenhouse gas reduction and how 2℃ target was set up by the Paris Agreement. Students are guided to comprehensively assess the mitigation actions from various points of view including economic, technological, law, international relation, etc. In terms of low-carbon management, carbon accounting, carbon trading and carbon tax are the major teaching points; while, in terms of technology, CCUS is the most direct route to carbon reduction and thus the key point of this course. Students are particularly encouraged to crosslink this two aspects. E.g. CCUS can bring us the direct GHGs reduction and benefit to climate change mitigation; further, we should also see the potential environmental, economical and social benefits. By organically integrating the management and technology, the low-carbon economy could thus be promoted effectively.

The course consists of 4 modules, each of which is 3 h long (= 4 credit hours). Teaching accounts for 3/4 and discussion 1/4 for each module. There will be a design assignment. Team work is required to focus on a specific problem in low-carbon technology or management, collect data, independently analyze and make the conclusion or suggestions. An oral presentation will be done in the last module.
